So,
After stressing out all day, driving around with Gemma dealing with liquor permits and picking up venue keys and all the random organizational chores that go into organizing a night of readings (I have a newfound admiration for Liam and all his Warren events) the Melodramatic Musings book launch went over without a hitch last night.
I felt blissful and inarticulate and flattered by the huge turn-out. Almost all of my favorite people in Victoria (and from the Mainland) made it out, so THANK YOU!Glen, Marc and I are all stoked at how well this turned out. This project has been about a year in the making, so I'm feeling relieved that this book is finally out there.
Special props to Bryce for being MC, to Feeney, Jamie, Marc and Eli for playing awesome music and to all my readers: Gemma, Hilary, Katie, Pat, Liam, Chelsea, Michelle and Vincent - you guys all gave awesome performances.
Also, thanks Brock and Jessi for bringing a cooler and ice, doing beer runs and generally just being awesome people and awesome friends.
