Crater Arms

So,

I got the new issue of Pilot in the mail the other day.

I'd never heard of this journal until Kris Bertin had a story published in it last year. I got myself a subscription, and turns out the new issue has another story by him–"Crater Arms".

Eager to retain my mantle as Kris' #1 Fan (even though I've now met him in person and ascertained that he is, yes, just a dude) I thought I'd let everyone know that I think his story is awesome, and you should all check it out.

Kris also has a story coming out in The Malahat Review, and as if that's not enough, The Journey Prize collection came out this week. Kris' story "Is Alive and Can Move", which was originally published in PRISM, is in it.

(I was slightly depressed to learn Kris is the same age as me, but way ahead in the game.)

I figure one of the best ways to attempt making it in the Can-Lit scene is to just shamelessly copy people who are doing what I want to do.

Kris is one of them.
